On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi, devotees thronged to have darshan of Lord Shri at Shree Kshetra Lenyadri.<\/p>\n
On Friday, 6th March 2026, on the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi, thousands of devotees visited the Ashtavinayak pilgrimage site Shree Kshetra Lenyadri (Taluka: Junnar) to have darshan of \u2018Shri Girijatmaj\u2019 Ganpati. There was a large crowd of devotees throughout the day, and the Shree Kshetra Lenyadri area took on the atmosphere of a pilgrimage. On this occasion, the idol of Shri Girijatmaj and the temple were beautifully decorated with flowers.<\/p>\n
On behalf of Shree Lenyadri Ganpati Devasthan, at 6:15 AM, the deity was given Abhishek (ritual bathing) and Mahapuja by trustee Sadashiv Tamhane. Afterwards, devotees availed of the darshan. On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi, the idol of Shri Girijatmaj Ganesh and the temple premises were adorned with attractive floral decorations. For the deity\u2019s naivedya (offerings), Govind Yashwant Meher, Sadashiv Shankar Tamhane, Jaywant Dnyaneshwar Doke, and Ratnakar Tukaram Doke from Golegav each offered 1 kg of grapes as prasadam.<\/p>\n
Mahaarati was performed in the temple at 6:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 6:00 PM. Various religious rituals were conducted throughout the day on behalf of the Devasthan for the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi. Facilities and conveniences were provided to devotees by the temple trust. The temple trust also organized crowd management to ensure smooth darshan for all devotees.<\/p>\n
Present on the occasion were the Devasthan President Adv. Sanjay Dhekne, Vice President Govind Meher, Secretary Shankar Tamhane, Treasurer Bhagwan Hande, trustees Prabhakar Jadhav, Machhindra Shete, Sadashiv Tamhane, Kashinath Lokhande, Jaywant Doke, Jitendra Bidwai, Office Secretary Rohidas Bidwai, Manager Nilesh Sarjine, staff, villagers, and a large number of devotees.<\/p>\n
In the evening, Shri Muktai Prasadik Bhajani Mandal, Shivchewadi performed musical bhajans. During moonrise, the Mahaarati of the deity was conducted. Afterwards, the Jai Maharashtra Group from Golegav organized Mahaprasad for devotees.<\/p>\n
Throughout the day, dignitaries from various fields also visited to have darshan of Shri. Devotees from Pune, Ahmednagar, Mumbai, Thane, Nashik, and the Junnar region arrived in large numbers for darshan. This information was provided by the Devasthan President Adv.
