On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi<\/strong>, a large number of devotees gathered for darshan at Shri Kshetra Lenyadri<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, April 5, 2026, thousands of devotees visited the Ashtavinayak pilgrimage site, Shri Kshetra Lenyadri (Taluka Junnar), to seek blessings of Shri Girijatmaj Ganpati<\/strong> on the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi. Due to the festival coinciding with a Sunday holiday, there was a huge crowd throughout the day. The entire Lenyadri area had taken on the appearance of a grand pilgrimage fair.<\/p>\n

On this occasion, the idol of Shri Girijatmaj and the temple premises were beautifully decorated with flowers.<\/p>\n

At 6:15 a.m., an abhishek (ritual bathing) and Mahapuja were performed by the temple trust\u2019s President, Adv. Sanjay Dhekne, and Trustee Sadashiv Tamhane. Afterward, devotees began taking darshan.<\/p>\n

Special floral decorations were arranged for the idol and temple premises for Sankashti Chaturthi. As an offering (naivedya), Smita Prakashsingh Hazari and Vikramsingh Prakashsingh Hazari from Junnar donated 2 crates of bananas as prasad.<\/p>\n

Maha Aarti was performed at 7:00 a.m., 12:00 noon, and 7:00 p.m. Various religious rituals were conducted throughout the day by the temple trust. The trust also provided several facilities and amenities for devotees. Due to the festival and the Sunday holiday, there was a heavy influx of devotees and tourists all day long.<\/p>\n

To ensure smooth darshan, crowd management arrangements were made by the temple trust.<\/p>\n

Present on the occasion were Temple Trust President Adv. Sanjay Dhekne, Vice President Govind Meher, Secretary Shankar Tamhane, Treasurer Bhagwan Hande, Trustees Prabhakar Jadhav, Machhindra Shete, Sadashiv Tamhane, Kashinath Lokhande, Jaywant Doke, Jitendra Bidwai, Office Secretary Rohidas Bidwai, Manager Nilesh Sarjine, along with staff, villagers, and a large number of devotees.<\/p>\n

In the evening, a musical bhajan program was performed by Shri Muktai Prasadic Bhajani Mandal from Shivechiwadi. At moonrise, Maha Aarti of the deity was performed.<\/p>\n

Following this, a Mahaprasad (community meal) was organized for devotees in memory of the late Anusaya Vitthal Lokhande from Navi Mumbai, sponsored by Suman Gopinath Lokhande and Priyanka Vishal Lokhande.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Vice President Govind Yashwant Meher donated \u20b95,001 for food distribution (Annadan).<\/p>\n

On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi, several dignitaries from various fields visited for darshan. A large number of devotees came from Pune, Ahmednagar, Mumbai, Thane, Nashik, and the Junnar region.<\/p>\n
