Shri’s birth anniversary celebration on the occasion of Ganesh Jayanti at Shri Kshetra Lenyadri *
On the occasion of Shri Ganesh Jayanti, there was a large crowd of devotees from early morning on Friday 4th to pay obeisance to Shri Girijatmaja at Shri Kshetra Lenyadri, one of the Ashtavinayakas. On the occasion of Shri Ganesh Jayanti, Devasthan Trust organized Akhand Harinam Week and various religious programs from Saturday 29th January to Saturday 5th February. In the Lenyadri area, a grand procession is held on the occasion of Shri Ganesh Jayanti. Ganesha devotees expressed displeasure as the bullock cart race, which is a special attraction of this yatra, was not held this year. On behalf of Shri Lenyadri Ganpati Devasthan Trust, Devasthan President Sadashiv Tamhane, Secretary Jitendra Bidwai, Trustee Jaywant Doke and Zilla Parishad Member Ankushsheth Amle conducted the abhishek and Maha Puja at 5.30 am. After that, the temple was opened for devotees to visit Shri. From 10 am to 12 noon in the temple, the kirtan of the birth of HBP Namdev Maharaj Walke was performed. Also Shri Ganesh Janmotsav was celebrated in traditional way. After that Mahaprasada was organized for the devotees on behalf of Devasthan. Devasthan President Sadashiv Tamhane, Vice President Sanjay Dhekne, Secretary Jitendra Bidwai, Treasurer Kashinath Lokhande, Trustee Shankar Tamhane, Prabhakar Jadhav, Govind Meher, Kailas Lokhande, Machhindra Shete, Suresh Vani, Prabhakar Gadde, Vijay Varhadi, Nandkumar Bidwai, Jaywant Doke, Hande, villagers and devotees were present in large numbers. The idol of Shri Girijatmaja and the temple were decorated with attractive flowers. A grand blood donation camp was organized on behalf of Devasthan and in collaboration with Aadhar Blood Center, Sangamner. 29 blood donors donated blood. A procession of bullock carts was taken out on behalf of the villagers. Sangeet Bhajan of Bhomeshwar Prasadik Bhajani Mandal, Alame was performed. Rates for devotees following Corona restrictions.
