संकष्टी चतुर्थीनिमित्त श्री क्षेत्र लेण्याद्री येथे भाविकांची गर्दी
रविवार दि. ३१ जानेवारी २०२१ रोजी संकष्टी चतुर्थीनिमित्त श्री क्षेत्र लेण्याद्री (ता. जुन्नर) येथील श्री गिरीजात्मज गणेशच्या दर्शनाकरीता भाविकांची गर्दी होती. चालु जानेवारी महिन्यात पुन्हा संकष्टी चतुर्थी आली असुन शनिवार व रविवारच्या या सलग सुट्टीमुळे दिवसभर भाविकांची दर्शनासाठी गर्दी होती. शासनाने घालुन दिलेल्या नियमांचे पालन करत दिवसभरात भाविकांनी श्री गिरीजात्मज गणेशाचे दर्शनाचा लाभ घेतल्याची माहिती देवस्थानचे अध्यक्ष कैलास लोखंडे व सेक्रेटरी जितेंद्र बिडवई यांनी दिली.
श्री लेण्याद्री गणपती देवस्थान ट्रस्टच्या वतीने सकाळी देवस्थान ट्रस्टचे विश्वस्त सदाशिव ताम्हाणे यांच्या हस्ते श्रींचा अभिषेक व महापुजा करण्यात आली. यावेळी देवस्थानचे उपाध्यक्ष संजय ढेकणे, सेक्रेटरी जितेंद्र बिडवई, खजिनदार काशिनाथ लोखंडे, विश्वस्त शंकर ताम्हाणे, गोविंद मेहेर, प्रभाकर जाधव, मच्छिंद्रशेठ शेटे, प्रभाकर गडदे, जयवंत डोके, भगवान हांडे व कर्मचारी तसेच भाविक भक्त उपस्थित होते. त्यानंतर भाविक भक्तांनी दर्शनाचा लाभ घेतला. श्री गिरिजात्मजाच्या मूर्तीस व मंदिरात आकर्षक फुलांची सजावट करण्यात आली होती. दुपारी १२:०० वाजता महाआरती करण्यात आली. दिवसभर विविध धार्मिकविधी करण्यात आले. भाविकांचे सुलभ दर्शन व्हावे याकरीता गर्दीचे नियोजन देवस्थानच्यावतीने केले होते. सोशल डिस्टसिंग पालन, मास्क वापर व सॅनीटायझर वापर बंधनकारक करण्यात आले होते. देवस्थानचे वतीने दर्शनमार्गावर सॅनीटायझर स्टॅन्ड उभारण्यात आले होते. रात्री चंद्रोदयाच्या वेळी श्रींची महाआरती करण्यात आली. दिवसभरात विविध क्षेत्रातील मान्यवरांनी श्रीं च्या दर्शनाचा लाभ घेतला तसेच जुन्नर परिसरातुन व पुणे, नगर, मुंबई, ठाणे, नाशिक येथून मोठ्या प्रमाणात भाविक श्रींच्या दर्शनासाठी आले होते. अशी माहिती देवस्थानचे अध्यक्ष कैलास लोखंडे व सेक्रेटरी जितेंद्र बिडवई यांनी दिली.
दिनांक १७.०३.२०२० रोजी श्री लेण्याद्री गणपती देवस्थान ट्रस्ट ने सर्व विश्वस्तांच्या मिटिंग मध्ये दिनांक १७.०३.२०२० पासून ३१.०३.२०२० पर्यंत श्री लेण्याद्री गणपती मंदिर दर्शनासाठी बंद करण्याचे ठरविले आहे. अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्थरावर कोरोना विषाणू संसर्गबाधित रुग्न आढळत आहे. प्रवासाद्वारे या विषाणूचा संसर्ग होत असल्यामुळे तसेच पर्यटनस्थळी व धार्मिक स्थळी कोणत्याही प्रकारच्या सहलीचे आयोजन करण्यास सक्त मनाई केलेली आहे. राज्यशासन व मा.जिल्हाधिकारी साहेब, यांच्या सुचनेनुसार सुरक्षिततेच्या कारणास्तव श्रीं चे मंदिर देव दर्शनासाठी बंद करण्यात आले आहे. सर्व भाविकांनी यांची नोंद घ्यावी. अशी विनंती देवस्थान ट्रस्ट च्या वतीने करण्यात आलेली आहे. तरी भाविकांनी याची नोंद घेऊन सहकार्य करावे ही विंनती

मंगळवार दि. २८ जानेवारी २०२० रोजी माघ श्री गणेश जयंतीनिमित्त अष्टविनायक तिर्थक्षेत्र श्री क्षेत्र लेण्याद्री (ता. जुन्नर) येथील गिरीजात्मजाच्या दर्शनासाठी भाविकांची पहाटेपासुन मोठी गर्दी झाली होती. श्री गणेश जयंतीचे औचित्य साधुन देवस्थान ट्र्स्टच्या वतीने विविध धार्मिक कार्यक्रमांचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते. यानिमित्त लेण्याद्री येथे मोठी यात्रा भरते. श्री क्षेत्र लेण्याद्री येथे सुमारे लाख ते दिड लाख भाविकांनी श्री गिरीजात्मज गणेशाचे दर्शनाचा लाभ घेतल्याची माहिती देवस्थानचे अध्यक्ष कैलास लोखंडे व सेक्रेटरी शंकर ताम्हाणे यांनी दिली.
श्री लेण्याद्री गणपती देवस्थान ट्रस्टच्या वतीने विश्वस्त प्रभाकर जाधव यांचे हस्ते पहाटे ५.३० वाजता श्रींचा महाअभिषेक व महापुजा करण्यात आली. सकाळी १० ते १२ वाजे पर्यंत मंदिरात ह.भ.प. नामदेव महाराज वाळके यांचे देवजन्माचे किर्तन संपन्न झाले. त्यानंतर पारंपारिक पद्धतीने श्री गणेश जन्मोत्सव साजरा करण्यात आला. यानंतर भाविक भक्तांकरीता देवस्थान ट्रस्टचेवतीने महाप्रसादाचे आयोजन करण्यात आले होते. यावेळी देवस्थानचे अध्यक्ष कैलास लोखंडे, सेक्रेटरी शंकर ताम्हाणे, खजिनदार सदाशिव ताम्हाणे, विश्वस्त गोविंद मेहेर, प्रभाकर जाधव, मच्छिंद्र शेटे, सुरेश वाणी, विजय वर्‍हाडी, काशिनाथ लोखंडे, नंदकुमार बिडवई, जयवंत डोके, जितेंद्र बिडवई, संजय ढेकणे, भगवान हांडे, गोळेगाव ग्रामस्थ व कर्मचारी तसेच भाविक भक्त मोठ्या संख्येत उपस्थित होते. श्री गिरिजात्मजाच्या मूर्तीस व मंदिरात आकर्षक फुलांची सजावट करण्यात आली होती. दिवसभर विविध धार्मिक कार्यक्रम चालु होते. माघ श्री गणेश जयंती उत्सवानिमित्त देवस्थान ट्रस्टच्यावतीने बुधवार दि.२२ जानेवारी २०२० पासुन बुधवार दि.२९ जानेवारी २०२० पर्यंत अखंड हरिनाम सप्ताहाचे आयोजन केलेले आहे. बुधवार दि.२९ जानेवारी २०२० रोजी सकाळी १० ते १२ या वेळेत ह.भ.प. श्रावण महाराज जगताप यांचे काल्याचे किर्तन होवुन अखंड हरिनाम सप्ताहाची सांगता झाली. तसेच बैलगाडा शर्यत बंद झालेपासुन देवस्थानचे वतीने संगित भजन स्पर्धेचे आयोजन केली जाते. यात सुमारे २५ ते ३० भजन मंडळ सहभाग घेतात. भाविकांचे सुलभ दर्शन व्हावे याकरीता गर्दीचे नियोजन देवस्थानच्यावतीने केले होते तसेच भाविकांकरीता विविध सेवा सुविधा पुरविण्यात आल्या होत्या. दिवसभर भाविक भक्ताची व पर्यटकांची मोठी गर्दी होती. दिवसभरात विविध क्षेत्रातील मान्यवरांनी श्रीं च्या दर्शनाचा लाभ घेतला तसेच जुन्नर परिसरातुन व पुणे, नगर, मुंबई, ठाणे, नाशिक येथून मोठ्या प्रमाणात भाविक श्रींच्या दर्शनासाठी आले होते. अशी माहिती देवस्थानचे अध्यक्ष कैलास लोखंडे व सेक्रेटरी शंकर ताम्हाणे यांनी दिली.
Shri Girijatmaj Lenyadri Ganapati is the only Ganesh Temple which is carved in caves. Lenyadri carries an ancient myth which says that when the great Pandavas were living in agyatvas during their 13th year of exile, they sculptured these caves in just one night. There are 28 caves here, stretching from east to west. The temple occupies the complete 7th cave which gives a broad look to the temple. It is said that in this particular cave Devi Parvati performed tapascharya for twelve long years for the gain of a son. After this long tapascharya, Lord Ganesh himself came before her.
The name of the idol ‘Girijatmaj’ comes as ‘Girija’ meaning Devi Parvati and ‘Aatmaj’ meaning Son. The caves meaning ‘Leni’ in Marathi derive the name Lenyadri to the caves. So the name ‘Girijatmaj Lenyadri Ganapati’. The temple faces the southern direction. In front of the temple rest two water tanks. Similarly, 21st first cave also houses a water tank. The speciality of these tanks is that they have water in them throughout the year. Also the water is clean and is naturally cool. The waters satisfy every thirsty pilgrim who climbs 338 stairs to reach the caved temple.
In front of the huge entry gates of Shri Girijatmaj Ganesh temple are enormous pillars with pictures of elephants horses lions nd various other animals carved on them. Similarly there are pillars with different carvings in front of every other cave. The Sabhamandap of the temple is 60 feet wide with exactly 18 rooms of 7×10 feet2 area. These rooms, it is said, were used by saints for tapascharya. The neighbouring 6th cave and 14th cave have Buddha-pillars in them commonly known as Bouddha-Stupa. These caves are made into shape of hemisphere interiorly. That is why, echoes can be easily heard. That is why, these Stupas are also referred as the ‘Gol-Ghumat’s. The caves have carved pillars also alongwith the Stupas.
The Sabhamandap of Shri Girijatmaj Ganesh temple is 60 feet wide. The speciality of this Sabhamandap is that it is not supported by any pillar. It is in the form of a very large room. Outside the Gabhara (sanctum) of the temple rest carved pillars. The sanctorum (Garbhagraha) of the temple show-offs a wide range of astonishing art in the form of devotional paintings of Shri Guru Dattatray, Lord ganesh resting on Shiv-Parvati’s lap, Bal Ganesh playing ancient game like ludo made using natural colours.
It was rumored earlier that the idol is being worshipped at the back. But it is not so. In fact, the early times the idol used to be worshipped by everyone individually. The application of oil and shendur. With passing time, the cluster of the shendur fell off and the real idol shape was once again to be seen. This explains the false rumor. The idol of Lord Ganesh has gems as its eyes. The trunk of Lord Ganesh is towards the left side.
The tank outside the temple has cool waters throughout the year. Similarly there is a water tank in the 21st cave. Actual view of every cave remains a mystery for pilgrims because of the difficult rocky path. Daily, pilgrims climb a rocky staircase of 338 stairs to receive Lord Ganesh’s blessings. It is said that these stairs were built by pilgrims to fulfil promise done to God in sequence of 5,7,11,21…
The earlier stairs are a bit higher to climb. As these stairs cannot be climbed by elders and disabled people, arrangement of human carriages ‘palkhi’ is done. This service has provided employment to locals. Also this arrangement has made the darshan possible for everyone.
The temple and the neighbouring caves are in possession of The Archaeology Department of India. Hence it s not possible to make any changes or developments in the structure without the consent of the concerned department. This temple is preserved as it was carved in the early times.
The Archaeology Department of India is in charge of all caves including the temple. That is why the darshan fee is charged as Rs. 5 for the pilgrims. Although the Devasthan Trust performs daily aartis and abhisheks, the trust has no relation with the darshan charges.
ShrI kshetra lenyadri Ganapati Devasthan by the Government of Maharashtra declared ‘B’ category of Pilgrimage.
A senior class ‘B’ class of Pilgrim area was declared today under the rural pilgrim development scheme by Shrikshetra Lanyadri Ganapati Devasthan, which was known as Ashtavinayak Ganapati Devasthan, as well as a devotee of the devotees, and Shri kshetra lenyadri Ganapati Devasthan situated in the Sahyadri mountain ranges. The proposal file was filed three months back to the construction site of Mumbai. Earlier, Devasthan received the ‘C’ class status of the Pilgrim area. Now it has been canceled and senior grade ‘B’ category has been given. The ‘B’ category was declared. Mr. Kailassheth Lokhande accepted the Rural Development Department, Mumbai. Such information is given by Mr. Govindrao Meher, Secretary of Devsthan, Mr. Shankarrao Tamahane, Treasurer Mr. Sadashiv Tamshane and Trustee Mr. Sanjay Dhekane said.
The proposal was approved in the meeting held on July 26 at Construction Works, Mumbai, under the chairmanship of Principal Secretary, Construction Department, Mr. Aasim Gupta Saheb and Deputy Secretary, Mr. Manoj Jadhav Saheb. Devasthan has provided various basic amenities for devotees and tourists coming to Shri kshetra Lenyadri and also for the benefit of the community, social work is done by Devasthan. Funds received from senior citizens, who are getting ‘B’ category status of pilgrimage, are provided funds for development works, from the Government of Maharashtra, Rural Development Department. Due to the acquisition of ‘B’ class status, it will be of great help to develop the all-round development of Shri Kshetra and promote various development works. Minister of Rural Development has received the ‘B’ category status of Shri kshtra Lenyadri Ganapati Devasthan for pilgrimage. Public works minister Mrs. Pankajatai Mundhe, Minister of state of Rural Development Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil, Public works Minister of state Mr. Dadaji Bhuse Saheb, Member of Parliament Mr. Shivajirao Adhalrao Patil, MLA Mr. Sharad dada Sonawane, Collector Shri. Saurabh Rao Saheb, Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Saheb, Junnar Tehsildar Saheb, Chairman of Junnar Panchayat Samiti and Chairman of Group Development Officer Saheb was thanked on behalf of the Devasthan.
Golegaon Gram Panchayat’s Sarpanch Mrs. Sharada tai Anil Lokhande had approved the resolution of Gramsabha to get ‘B’ class status for the holy place of Lenyadri Devasthan and Devasthan Trust had filed the proposal form and filed it through Pune District Council, Co-care of Pune Rural Development Department and Building Works, Mumbai. Citizens expressed their happiness because of Shri kshetra Lenyadri Devasthana received ‘B’ class status of pilgrim place. Chief Minister’s Office of Specialty Officer Mr. Om Prakash Shete Saheb and Maharashtra Legislative Assembly Deputy Secretary Rajesh Tarvi Saheb provided their special support.
