* Crowd of devotees at Sri Kshetra Lenyadri on the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi * Monday On August 15, 2022, thousands by of devotees visited Sri Girijatmaj Ganapati at Sri Kshetra Lenyadri (Junnar) on the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi. There was a huge crowd of devotees throughout the day as there were four consecutive government holidays as well as 15th August, 3rd Shravani Monday and Sankashti Chaturthi together. The Lenyadri area had acquired the form of a pilgrimage. This information was given by the president of the temple Sadashiv Tamhane and secretary Jitendra Bidwai. At 5.30 am, Devasthan Trust President Sadashiv Tamhane, Vice President Sanjay Dhekane, Secretary Jitendra Bidwai and Trustee Jaywant Doke performed the Abhishek and Mahapuja of Shri. After that, the devotees took advantage of the darshan. Treasurer of the temple Kashinath Lokhande, Trustee Shankar Tamhane, Prabhakar Jadhav, Govind Meher, Machindra Shete, Bhagwan Hande, temple staff and villagers were present on this occasion. The murtis and temple of Sri Girijatmja were attractively decorated in the tricolor theme of flowers. On the occasion of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence, the temple had illuminated the Lenyadri premises and the Bhakti Nivas building with attractive electric lighting. Every year meritorious students of Golegaon are felicitated on behalf of the Devasthan on August 15, and school materials and uniforms are distributed to the students. The flag was hoisted by Govind Meher, Senior Trustee of the Devotion and Pallavitai Doke, Director of Vighnahar Cooperative Sugar Factory, in the courtyard of the Devotion Building. August 15th, third Shravani Monday and Sankashti Chaturthi as well as government holidays for four consecutive days saw a large number of devotees thronging throughout the day. The Yatra took place in Sri Kshetra Lenyadri area. Maha Aarti was performed at 12:00 PM. Various religious rituals were performed throughout the day and various services were provided to the devotees through the Devasthan Trust. The temple had planned the crowd to make it easy for the devotees to see. In the evening there was a music bhajan program by Shree Muktai Prasad Bhajani Mandal Shivechiwadi. During the day, dignitaries from various fields took advantage of Shri’s darshan and a large number of devotees came from Junnar area and from Pune, Nagar, Mumbai, Thane, Nashik to have Shri’s darshan.
