Crowd of devotees at Sri Kshetra Lenyadri on the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi. On 13 October 2022, thousands of devotees visited Sri Girijatmaj Ganapati at Sri Kshetra Lenyadri (Junnar) on the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi. The murtis and temple of Sri Girijatmja were decorated with attractive flowers. There was a huge crowd of devotees throughout the day. The Lenyadri area had acquired the form of a pilgrimage. This information was given by the president of the temple Sadashiv Tamhane and secretary Jitendra Bidwai. On behalf of Sri Lenyadri Ganapati Devasthan, at 5.30 in the morning, Devasthan Trust President Sadashiv Tamhane, Secretary Jitendra Bidwai, Treasurer Kashinath Lokhande and Trustee Jaywant Doke performed Shri Abhishek and Mahapuja. After that, the devotees took advantage of the darshan. On this occasion, the vice president of the shrine Sanjay Dhekane, trustee Shankar Tamhane, Prabhakar Jadhav, Govind Meher, Machindra Shete, Bhagwan Hande, staff of the shrine and villagers were present. The murtis and temple of Sri Girijatmja were decorated with attractive flowers. Maha Aarti was performed in the temple at 6 AM, 12:00 PM and 6 PM. Various religious rituals were performed throughout the day. Also, various services were provided to the devotees through the Devasthan Trust. The temple had planned the crowd to make it easy for the devotees to see. In the evening there was a music bhajan program by Shree Muktai Prasad Bhajani Mandal Shivechiwadi. Maha aarti of Shri was performed at night at moonrise. After that Mahaprasad was organized on behalf of devotees Snehal Rahul Dumbre from Otur and Prafulla Bhimashankar from America. During the day, dignitaries from various fields took advantage of Shri’s darshan and a large number of devotees came from Junnar area and from Pune, Ahmednagar, Mumbai, Thane, Nashik to have Shri’s darshan.
