Crowd of devotees at Sri Kshetra Lenyadri on the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi. On November 12, 2022, on the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi, thousands of devotees visited Sri Girijatmaj Ganapati at Sri Kshetra Lenyadri (Junnar). The murtis and temple of Sri Girijatmja were decorated with attractive flowers. As it was a holiday for two consecutive days, there was a huge crowd of devotees throughout the day. On behalf of Sri Lenyadri Ganapati Devasthan, at 5.30 in the morning, the president of the temple trust Sadashiv Tamhane performed the consecration and Mahapuja of Shri. After that, the devotees took advantage of the darshan. Sanjay Dhekane, vice president of the temple, secretary Jitendra Bidwai, treasurer Kashinath Lokhande, trustee Shankar Tamhane, Prabhakar Jadhav, Govind Meher, Machindra Shete, Jaywant Doke, Bhagwan Hande, temple staff and villagers were present on this occasion. In the evening there was a music bhajan program by Shree Muktai Prasad Bhajani Mandal Shivechiwadi. Maha aarti of Shri was performed at night at moonrise. After that Mahaprasad was organized on behalf of devotees Pravin Ramdas Tajne from Junnar. Prakash Kashinath Malbari from Thane donated one lakh one rupees to the temple in memory of Ms. Pramodini Prakash Malbari for development work. Dr. Ganesh Vilas Kulkarni from Junnar donated twenty one thousand one hundred and one rupees for food donation and offered an eight gram gold ring at the feet of Shri. Also, after the vow of Dnyaneshwar Janardan Kachle from Savargaon was fulfilled, a silver Ganesha idol was offered at the feet of Shri. Dignitaries from various fields took advantage of Shri’s darshan and a large number of devotees from Junnar area and from Pune, Ahmednagar, Mumbai, Thane, Nashik came for Shri’s darshan.
