Devotees flock to Sri Kshetra Lenyadri on the occasion of Angaraki Chaturthi On Tuesday, January 10, 2023, Sri Girijatmaj Ganapati at Sri Kshetra Lenyadri (Junnar) was decorated with attractive flowers on the occasion of Angaraki Chaturthi. As it was the first Angaraki Chaturthi of the current year, thousands of devotees took advantage of Shri Girijatmaj Ganesha’s darshan during the day. On this occasion, Jitendra Bidwai, president of the temple and Shankar Tamhane, secretary, informed that a pilgrimage to Lenyadri parish had taken place. On behalf of Sri Lenyadri Ganapati Devasthan Trust, at 5.30 am, Devasthan Trust President Jitendra Bidwai, Vice President Sanjay Dhekane, Trustees Sadashiv Tamhane, Kailas Lokhande and Jaywant Doke performed the Abhishek and Mahapuja of Shri. After that, the devotees took advantage of the darshan. Secretary Shankar Tamhane, Treasurer Kashinath Lokhande, Trustees Prabhakar Jadhav, Govind Meher, Machindra Shete, Bhagwan Hande, priests of the temple, staff and Golegaon villagers were present on this occasion. The murtis and temple of Sri Girijatmja were decorated with attractive flowers. Maha Aarti was performed in the temple at 6 AM, 12:00 PM and 6 PM. There was a large crowd of devotees at this time. Various religious rituals were performed throughout the day. The crowd was planned by the temple to make it easy for the devotees to have darshan. On the occasion of Angaraki Chaturthi, on Monday January 09, 2023, a cleanliness drive was conducted on behalf of Sant Nirankari Mission Junnar branch. Vasant Bapu Khandagale of Pimpalgaon Siddhanath and Vasant Pandurang Sherkar of Shiroli distributed Khichdi Mahaprasad for the devotees and Sameer Tanhaji Dhole of Aliar gave 151 pieces of Kalingad fruits as an offering to God. In the evening Bhajan was performed by Shri Muktai Prasadik Bhajani Mandal, Shivechiwadi. Maha aarti of Shri was performed during night and moon rise. Then Mahaprasad was organized by Mayur Suresh Ghumtkar from Khed, Shubham Pramod Bhujbal and Jai Ganesh Group from Junnar. During the day, dignitaries from various fields took advantage of the darshan of Shri and a large number of devotees came from Junnar area and from Pune, Nagar, Mumbai, Thane, Nashik to have darshan of Shri.
