*Congregation of devotees at Sri Kshetra Lenyadri on the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi.*
On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi on Sunday 09th April 2023, thousands of devotees visited Sri Girijatmaj Ganapati at Sri Kshetra Lenyadri (Junnar). As it was a government holiday for three consecutive days, there was a huge crowd of devotees throughout the day. The Lenyadri area had acquired the form of a pilgrimage. On this occasion, the murtis and temple of Sri Girijatmja were decorated with attractive flowers. This information was given by the president of the temple, Jitendra Bidwai and secretary, Shankar Tamhane.
On behalf of Sri Lenyadri Ganapati Devasthan, at 5.30 in the morning, Devasthan Trust President Jitendra Bidwai, Trustees Sadashiv Tamhane, Jaywant Doke and Solapur Municipal Corporation Deputy Commissioner Machhindra Gholap performed the Abhishek and Maha Puja. A large number of devotees and villagers were present on this occasion. After that, the devotees took advantage of the darshan. On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi, the murtis of Shri Girijatmaj Ganesha and the temple premises were decorated with attractive flowers. Maha Aarti was performed in the temple at 6 am, 12 noon and 6 pm. Various religious rituals were performed throughout the day. Also, various services were provided to the devotees through the Devasthan Trust. As it was a government holiday for three consecutive days, there was a huge crowd of devotees throughout the day. The temple had planned the crowd to facilitate the darshan of the devotees. In the evening there was a music bhajan program by Shree Muktai Prasad Bhajani Mandal Shivechiwadi. Maha aarti of Shri was performed at night at moonrise. After that Mahaprasad was organized on behalf of Jai Maharashtra Group. Also Deputy Commissioner of Solapur Municipal Corporation Machindra Gholap donated for the offering of God. During the day, dignitaries from various fields took advantage of Shri’s darshan and a large number of devotees came from Junnar area and from Pune, Ahmednagar, Mumbai, Thane, Nashik to have Shri’s darshan.
