Crowd of devotees at Sri Kshetra Lenyadri on the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi.
On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi on Monday 08th May 2023, thousands of devotees visited Sri Girijatmaj Ganapati at Sri Kshetra Lenyadri (Junnar). There was a huge crowd of devotees throughout the day. Sri Kshetra Lenyadri area had acquired the form of a yatra. On this occasion, the murtis and temple of Sri Girijatmja were decorated with attractive flowers. On behalf of Sri Lenyadri Ganapati Devasthan, at 5.30 in the morning, Devasthan Trust President Jitendra Bidwai, Vice President Sanjay Dhekane, Trustee Sadashiv Tamhane performed Shree’s Abhishek and Mahapuja. On this occasion, Secretary Shankar Tamhane, Treasurer Kashinath Lokhande, Trustees Prabhakar Jadhav, Govind Meher, Machindra Shete, Jaywant Doke, Bhagwan Hande, Office Secretary Rohidas Bidwai and a large number of devotees and villagers were present. After that, the devotees took advantage of the darshan. On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi, the murtis of Shri Girijatmaj Ganesha and the temple premises were decorated with attractive flowers. Maha Aarti was performed in the temple at 6 am, 12 noon and 6 pm. Various religious rituals were performed throughout the day. Also, various services were provided to the devotees through the Devasthan Trust. There was a huge crowd of devotees throughout the day. The temple had planned the crowd to facilitate the darshan of the devotees. In the evening there was a music bhajan program by Shree Muktai Prasad Bhajani Mandal Shivechiwadi. Maha aarti of Shri was performed at night at moonrise. After that, Mahaprasad was organized by Sakharam Pardhi, a tomato trader from Narayangaon. Also, Laxman Vitthal Jadhav, president of Jai Malhar Jeshta Nagarik Sangh of Pilgrimage Vadaj, gave mangoes as an offering to God. During the day on the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi, dignitaries from various fields and Pune District Upper Collector Ajay More benefited from the darshan of Shri. Also large number of devotees from Junnar area and from Pune, Ahmednagar, Mumbai, Thane, Nashik to see Shri.
