On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi at Shree Kshetra Lenyadri, devotees flock to have a glimpse of Shri.
On Wednesday 07 June 2023, thousands of devotees visited ‘Sri Girijatmaj’ Ganapati at Sri Kshetra Lenyadri (Junnar) on the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi. There was a huge crowd of devotees throughout the day. Sri Kshetra Lenyadri area had acquired the form of a yatra. On this occasion, the murtis and temple of Sri Girijatmja were decorated with attractive flowers. On behalf of Sri Lenyadri Ganapati Devasthan, at 5.30 in the morning Shri Sanjay Dhekane, Trustee Sadashiv Tamhane and Jaywant Doke, Vice President of Devasthan Trust, performed the Abhishek and Maha Puja. On this occasion, the President of the Devasthan Jitendra Bidwai, Secretary Shankar Tamhane, Treasurer Kashinath Lokhande, Trustee Prabhakar Jadhav, Govind Meher, Machindra Shete, Bhagwan Hande, Office Secretary Rohidas Bidwai and a large number of devotees and villagers were present. After that, the devotees took advantage of the darshan. On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi, the murtis of Shri Girijatmaj Ganesha and the temple premises were decorated with attractive flowers. Maha Aarti was performed in the temple at 6 am, 12 noon and 6 pm. Various religious rituals were performed throughout the day. Also, various services were provided to the devotees through the Devasthan Trust. There was a huge crowd of devotees throughout the day. The temple had planned the crowd to facilitate the darshan of the devotees. In the evening there was a music bhajan program by Shree Muktai Prasadic Bhajani Mandal Shivechiwadi. Maha aarti of Shri was performed at night at moonrise. After that Mahaprasad was organized by Vasant Auti and Mahesh Yashwant Auti from Narayangaon. Also, Saish Sanjay Mali of Golegaon gave 101 shripals as an offering to God. On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi, dignitaries from various fields took advantage of the darshan of Shri. Also, a large number of devotees came from Junnar area and from Pune, Ahmednagar, Mumbai, Thane, Nashik to see Shri Girijatmaj.
