On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi at Shree Kshetra Lenyadri, devotees flock to have a glimpse of Shri.
On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi on Thursday 06th July 2023, thousands of devotees had darshan of ‘Shri Girijatmaj’ Ganpati at Sri Kshetra Lenyadri (Junnar). There was a huge crowd of devotees throughout the day. Sri Kshetra Lenyadri area had acquired the form of a yatra. On this occasion, the murtis and temple of Sri Girijatmja were decorated with attractive flowers. On behalf of Sri Lenyadri Ganapati Devasthan, at 5.30 in the morning, the trustees of the devasthan, Sadashiv Tamhane and Jaywant Doke, performed the consecration and Mahapuja of Sri. Jitendra Bidwai, Vice President Sanjay Dhekane, Secretary Shankar Tamhane, Treasurer Kashinath Lokhande, Trustees Prabhakar Jadhav, Govind Meher, Machindra Shete, Prabhakar Gade, Bhagwan Hande, Office Secretary Rohidas Bidwai and staff and a large number of devotees and villagers were present on this occasion. After that, the devotees took advantage of the darshan. On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi, the murtis of Shri Girijatmaj Ganesha and the temple premises were decorated with attractive flowers. Maha Aarti was performed in the temple at 6 am, 12 noon and 6 pm. Various religious rituals were performed throughout the day. Also, various services were provided to the devotees through the Devasthan Trust. There was a huge crowd of devotees throughout the day. The temple had planned the crowd to facilitate the darshan of the devotees. In the evening there was a music bhajan program by Shree Muktai Prasad Bhajani Mandal Shivechiwadi. Maha aarti of Shri was performed at night at moonrise. After that, Mahaprasad was organized by the treasurer of the temple, Kashinath Dattatray Lokhande. Also, Satish Gopinath Lokhande from Junnar gave 121 mangoes as an offering to God on the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi. Vilas Sakharam Borhade of Shiroli Budruk donated 40 tamarind saplings to the Shri Kshetra Lenyadri Hill Beautification Mission which is going on through the temple. On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi, dignitaries from various fields took advantage of the darshan of Shri. Also, a large number of devotees came from Junnar area and from Pune, Ahmednagar, Mumbai, Thane, Nashik to see Shri.
