Friday 4th August 2023 Sankashti Chaturthi

The devotees flocked to the Shri Lenyadri temple in Junnar on 4th August 2023 to catch a glimpse of the revered Shri Girijatmaj Ganpati on the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi. Throughout the day, the temple premises saw a massive crowd of devotees. The temple was beautifully decorated with flowers, and the idol of Shri Girijatmaj Ganpati was adorned with colorful decorations. This information was shared by the temple trust’s chairman Jitendra Bidwai and secretary Shankar Tamhane.

The day began with the chairman, vice-chairman Sanjay Dhekane, and trustee Sadashiv Tamhane performing the abhishek and mahapuja of the Shri Ganesh idol at 5:30 in the morning. The event was attended by various members of the temple trust, including treasurer Kashinath Lokhande, trustee Prabhakar Jadhav, and employees Machhindra Shete, Jaywant Doke, Bhagwan Hande, and office secretary Rohidas Bidwai. A large number of devotees and locals also attended the event. After the puja, the devotees were allowed to have darshan of the idol.

The Shri Girijatmaj Ganpati temple was decorated with flowers and attractive lighting. Three aartis were performed throughout the day: one at 6 in the morning, the second at noon, and the third at 6 in the evening. Various religious ceremonies were also held throughout the day. The temple trust had arranged for several services, which included providing food and beverages to the devotees.

Despite the rainy season, a large number of devotees and tourists flocked to the temple on Sankashti Chaturthi. The natural beauty of the Lenyadri hills and the rainfall added to the charm of the place, and the devotees and tourists enjoyed their trip. The temple trust had made arrangements to manage the crowd and make the darshan accessible to everyone. In the evening, the Shri MuktaI Prasadi Bhajani Mandal performed devotional songs at the Shivachi Wadi venue. The day ended with the grand aarti of the Shri Girijatmaj Ganpati followed by the prasad distributed by Gopinath Vitthal Lokhande in Navi Mumbai.

Devotees from various parts of the city, including Pune, Ahmednagar, Mumbai, Thane, and Nashik, visited Shri Girijatmaj Ganpati temple to seek blessings on Sankashti Chaturthi. The temple trust had arranged for various services to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. Chairman Jitendra Bidwai and secretary Shankar Tamhane expressed their gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the event.
