On Tuesday, August 15, 2023, the flag was hoisted at Lenyadri at 07:30 am on the occasion of Independence Day. In Lenyadri Ganapati temple tricolor flag was made in flowers and in Lenyadri area balloons were attractively decorated in tricolor color. Due to consecutive holidays there was a huge crowd of devotees throughout the day. The pilgrimage took place in Lenyadri area. At 07:30 in the morning, the flag was hoisted by the auspicious hands of ex-servicemen Subhash Bidwai and Ramdas Meher at Yatri Niwas part number two of the temple. Tree saplings and food were distributed to the students of Zilla Parishad Primary School Golegaon Thakerwadi. After this flag hoisting was completed at Zilla Parishad Primary School in Golegaon. Meritorious students were felicitated on behalf of the temple. School materials and uniforms were also distributed to the students. Tree saplings were also given to the students. In the evening, a tree was planted at Lenyadri Paytha, the auspicious hands of ex-servicemen of Junnar taluka. After that at 6 o’clock in the evening, Maha Aarti was performed in the temple for the auspicious hands of ex-servicemen. After that, all the ex-servicemen of Junnar taluka were honored by the Devasthan with certificates, Mahavastra and flowers.
On this occasion, former soldiers Mahadev Hadwale, Devidas Bhujbal, Ramesh Kharmale expressed their thoughts.
