‘Ganesh One’ will be created on Shri Kshetra Lenyadri mountain
On the hill of Sri Kshetra Lenyadri, one of the Ashtavinayakas, the seat of Sri Girijatmaj Ganapati, the project “Ganesh One” has been implemented by the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs of the Government of Maharashtra for which two crore rupees have been allocated. Temple President Jitendra Bidwai and Secretary Shankar Tamhane informed that such a government decision has also been passed.
This project will be spread over seven and a half acres, in which Ganesh forest, Nakshatra forest and Medicinal forest with twenty-one plants loved by Ganapati Bappa and their useful information boards will be realized and indigenous trees will be planted on the entire hill. Also, separate drip irrigation systems, water reservoirs, stone walkways, seating arrangements for rest, small ponds etc. will be done to water the trees.
Among the Ashtavinayakas, Sri Kshetra Lenyadri is the only shrine on the hill and there are twenty-eight caves from east to west. So this place has special importance. After the construction of Ganesh One project by Maharashtra Government, the beauty of Lenyadri will be further enhanced and many tourists will also visit this place along with Ganesha devotees.
