Shri Mahaarti on the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi at Sri Kshetra Lenyadri.
Monday On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi on 29th January 2024, thousands of devotees visited ‘Shri Girijatmaj’ Ganpati at Sri Kshetra Lenyadri (Junnar). There was a huge crowd of devotees throughout the day. Sri Kshetra Lenyadri area had acquired the form of a yatra. On this occasion, the murtis and temple of Sri Girijatmja were decorated with attractive flowers.
On behalf of Sri Lenyadri Ganapati Devasthan, at 5.30 in the morning, Sanjay Dhekane, president of the devasthan, and trustees Sadashiv Tamhane, Jaywant Doke, Jitendra Bidwai performed the Abhishek and Mahapuja of Shri. After that, the devotees took advantage of the darshan. On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi, the murtis of Shri Girijatmaj Ganesha and the temple premises were decorated with attractive flowers. Sachin Varhadi of Narayangaon gave different kinds of fruits for offering to God. Maha Aarti was performed in the temple at 6 am, 12 noon and 6 pm. On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi, a Maha Aarti was organized on behalf of the temple in the temple. This Mahaarti Adv. Hemant Bhaskar, Sub-Inspector of Police Ashok Shinde, Sachin Varhadi and Mangesh Thorve performed ceremonial abhisheka and felicitated the dignitaries on behalf of the temple. A Mahaarti is organized on behalf of the temple every Sankashti and Vinayaki Chaturthis. For this, interested devotees should contact the Devasthan Trust office and register their name. Various religious rituals were performed on behalf of the temple throughout the day. Devotees were provided with various facilities through Devasthan Trust. There was a huge crowd of devotees and tourists throughout the day. The crowd was planned by the temple to facilitate the darshan of the devotees. Vice President Govind Meher, Secretary Shankar Tamhane, Treasurer Bhagwan Hande, Trustees Prabhakar Jadhav, Machindra Shete, Prabhakar Gade, Kashinath Lokhande and Office Secretary Rohidas Bidwai were present on this occasion. In the evening Bhajan was performed with music by Sri Muktai Prasad Bhajani Mandal, Shivechiwadi. Maha aarti of Shri was performed at night at moonrise. After that, Mahaprasad was organized for the devotees on behalf of Yashwant Baban Auti and Vasant Baban Auti from Narayangaon. On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi, dignitaries from various fields took advantage of the darshan of Shri. Also, a large number of devotees came from Junnar area and from Pune, Ahmednagar, Mumbai, Thane, Nashik to see Shri.
