On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi, a large crowd of devotees gathered at Shri Kshetra Lenyadri for the darshan of Lord Gajanan (Shri Girijatmaja). On Friday, January 17, 2025, thousands of devotees visited the Ashtavinayak pilgrimage site, Shri Kshetra Lenyadri (Tal. Junnar) to seek the darshan of Shri Girijatmaja Ganapati. There was a massive crowd of devotees throughout the day. The entire area of Shri Kshetra Lenyadri had taken on the form of a pilgrimage site. On this occasion, the idol of Shri Girijatmaja Ganapati and the temple were beautifully decorated with flowers.

The temple’s president, Sanjay Dhekane, along with trustees Sadashiv Tamhane, Jaywant Doke, and Jitendra Bidwai, performed the morning ritual and Maha Puja at 5:30 AM. Afterward, devotees took the opportunity to have darshan. The idol of Shri Girijatmaja and the temple area were adorned with flowers for the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi. For the offerings to the deity, Omkar and Vighnesh Vinod Tajane from Golegaon donated 5 carats of bananas. The temple performed Maha Aarti at 6 AM, 12 PM, and 6 PM. Throughout the day, various religious rituals were conducted by the temple authorities in observance of Sankashti Chaturthi. The temple provided various amenities to the devotees through the temple trust.

The crowd of devotees and tourists was immense throughout the day. To facilitate the smooth darshan of devotees, crowd management was arranged by the temple authorities. During the event, temple president Sanjay Dhekane, vice-president Govind Meher, secretary Shankar Tamhane, treasurer Bhagwan Hande, trustees Prabhakar Jadhav, Machhindra Shete, Prabhakar Gadde, Sadashiv Tamhane, Kashinath Lokhande, Jaywant Doke, Jitendra Bidwai, office secretary Rohidas Bidwai, manager Nilesh Sarjine, the staff, and villagers from Golegaon, along with a large number of devotees, were present.

In the evening, the Shri Muktai Prasadi Bhajani Mandal from Shivechiwadi performed devotional music and bhajans. At the time of Chandrodaya (moonrise), a grand aarti was held. Afterward, a grand prasad (feast) was organized by Mangesh and Rajesh Jaywant Doke from Golegaon for the devotees. Throughout the day, prominent people from various fields took the opportunity to seek darshan of the deity. Devotees came from nearby regions of Junnar, as well as from Pune, Ahmednagar, Mumbai, Thane, and Nashik to visit Shri Girijatmaja Ganapati.
