Inauguration of Chapati Machine at Shri Kshetra Lenyadri Temple

  • by

Shri Kshetra Lenyadri, one of the Ashtavinayak Ganapati pilgrimage sites, attracts countless devotees and tourists who come for darshan (holy visit). To make the darshan experience easier and more comfortable for these devotees and tourists, the temple trust has been making continuous efforts. As part of these efforts, the temple trust provides various services and facilities to the devotees, and also conducts several social initiatives.

Under these initiatives, the temple trust runs a free food service (Annachhatra) for the devotees, where they are served a wholesome meal consisting of dal (lentils), rice, vegetables, and sheera (sweet dish). In response to requests from devotees, the temple trust’s board of trustees decided to provide chapatis (Indian flatbread) along with the meal. To fulfill this need, the temple trust approached the State Bank of India (SBI) for a chapati machine. In response to the request, SBI generously donated the chapati machine to the temple.

In connection with this, on Sunday, June 1, 2025, the chapati machine was ceremonially inaugurated by the temple trustees—Govind Meher, Machhindra Shete, Secretary Shankar Tamhane, and Bharat Bhujbal—after performing a religious pooja. Afterward, the temple’s president, Adv. Sanjay Dhekne, expressed his gratitude towards the distinguished guests, devotees, and the State Bank of India for their kind contribution.

The inauguration event was attended by temple president Adv. Sanjay Dhekne, vice president Govind Meher, secretary Shankar Tamhane, treasurer Bhagwan Hande, trustees Machhindra Shete, Sadashiv Tamhane, Kashinath Lokhande, Jaywant Doke, office secretary Rohidas Bidwai, manager Nilesh Sarjine, staff members, villagers of Golegaon, and a large number of devotees. This information was shared by the temple’s president Adv. Sanjay Dhekne and secretary Shankar Tamhane.
