Shri Kshetra Lenyadri’s Welcome Hall, VIP Hall, and Pilgrim Path Railway Station were inaugurated by Honorable Dr. Amol Kolhe on Thursday, July 11, 2024.
Shri Lenyadri Temple is one of the eight Astavinayaka temples and is a famous pilgrimage site. Thousands of devotees and tourists from India and abroad visit this place to have darshan of Sri Girijatmaj.
To facilitate the devotees and tourists, the temple trust has set up a welcome hall, VIP hall, and a railway station on the pilgrim path. The inauguration of these facilities was performed by Honorable Dr. Amol Kolhe, the member of parliament from Shirur constituency.
On this occasion, several dignitaries were present, including Babasaheb Jangale, a deputy director of the Indian Archaeological Department, Anant Rao Choughule, district president of Rashtriya Congress, Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray, taluka president of Shiv Sena, Tushar Bhau Thorat, district council member Shriraj Lende, Ankush Seth, Mohit Bhau Dhamale, Gulab Seth Parkhe, Sunita Tai Modhe, the sarpanch of Golagai village, Sanjay Deekne, secretary of the temple trust, and many others.
The temple trust has assured that it will provide necessary facilities to the devotees and tourists visiting this place. The temple trust has also requested the Indian Archaeological Department to waive the entry fee for devotees and to increase the time for darshan.
The program was conducted by Jitendra Bidve, the temple’s chief administrator. The temple’s secretary Shriram Tamhane thanked all the dignitaries present for their presence.
