Crowd of devotees at Shri Kshetra Lenyadri on the occasion of Angarki Chaturthi
For the first time since the first and this year’s Kovid restrictions were relaxed, Angarki Chaturthi came on Tuesday. On 19th April 2022, devotees from Shri Kshetra Lenyadri (Tal. Junnar) were crowded from early morning to pay obeisance to Shri Girijatmaj Ganpati. Devasthan President Sadashiv Tamhane and Secretary Jitendra Bidwai informed that thousands of devotees took advantage of the darshan of Shri Girijatmaj Ganesha during the day.
On behalf of Shri Lenyadri Ganpati Devasthan Trust, Shri. After that the devotees took advantage of Shri’s darshan. Devin’s treasurer Kashinath Lokhande, trustee Shankar Tamhane, Prabhakar Jadhav, Govind Meher, Machhindra Shete, Nandkumar Bidwai, Bhagwan Hande and villagers were present on this occasion. On the occasion of Angarki Chaturthi, the idol of Shri Girijatmaja and the temple were decorated with attractive flowers and white grapes. Maha Aarti was performed at 12:00 noon. Various rituals were performed throughout the day. The crowd was planned by the Devasthanam for easy access of devotees. A grand blood donation camp was organized on behalf of Devasthan and in collaboration with Aadhar Blood Center, Sangamner. In it, blood donors donated blood. Rohidas Gholap, a trader from Narayangaon provided grapes for decoration and also distributed Khichdi Mahaprasada on behalf of Rabindrasheth Mali from Golegaon for the devotees who came all day long. Nineteen members of Swakam Seva Mandal Alandi rendered their services by cleaning the Lenyadri area. In the evening, a musical bhajan program was organized by Muktai Bhajani Mandal Shivechi Wadi. Shri Maha Aarti was performed at the time of Chandrodaya at night. After that Mahaprasada was organized by Sagar Balkrishna Hande from Pimpalgaon Joga. The devotees took advantage of it. Throughout the day, dignitaries from various fields took advantage of Shri’s Darshan and a large number of devotees from Junnar area and from Pune, Nagar, Mumbai, Thane, Nashik came to pay their respects to Shri.
