Devotees Gather for Lord’s Darshan at Shri Kshetra Lenyadri on Sankashti Chaturthi

On Monday, November 18, 2024, thousands of devotees visited the Ashtavinayak pilgrimage site, Shri Kshetra Lenyadri (Tal. Junnar), to seek blessings of Lord Girijatmaj Ganpati on the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi. The day witnessed a massive crowd of devotees, transforming the Shri Kshetra Lenyadri premises into a vibrant pilgrimage atmosphere. The temple and the idol of Lord Girijatmaj were adorned with beautiful floral decorations to mark the occasion.

On behalf of the Shri Lenyadri Ganpati Devasthan Trust, the idol was ritually bathed and worshipped at 5:30 AM by the Trust President, Sanjay Dhekne, and Trustee Sadashiv Tamahane. Following this, devotees queued up to take darshan throughout the day. The temple premises were attractively decorated with flowers, and as an offering, the Saraswati Ashtavinayak Group from Daund provided 5 carats of bananas for the deity. Grand aartis were performed at 6 AM, 12 PM, and 6 PM. Throughout the day, various religious rituals were conducted under the guidance of the temple trust.

The trust ensured various facilities for the convenience of devotees and managed crowd control effectively for smooth darshan. Trust officials, including President Sanjay Dhekne, Vice President Govind Meher, Secretary Shankar Tamahane, Treasurer Bhagwan Hande, Trustees Prabhakar Jadhav, Machhindra Shete, Kashinath Lokhande, Jaywant Doke, and Jitendra Bidwai, along with Office Secretary Rohidas Bidwai, Manager Nilesh Sarjine, employees, and local residents of Golegaon, actively participated in the arrangements.

In the evening, the Shri Muktai Prasadik Bhajani Mandal from Shivechiwadi performed a soulful music session. Later, a grand aarti was conducted at moonrise, followed by Mahaprasad arranged by Atul Subhash Bokariya from Junnar for the devotees.

Prominent personalities from various fields visited Shri Girijatmaj Ganpati for darshan on this auspicious occasion. Devotees thronged the temple not only from the Junnar region but also from cities like Pune, Ahmednagar, Mumbai, Thane, and Nashik, as informed by Trust President Sanjay Dhekne and Secretary Shankar Tamahane.
