On the occasion of Angarki Sankashti Chaturthi, a grand “Shri Ganesh Mahayag” was held at Shri Shetra Lenyadri.
On Tuesday, May 5, 2026, thousands of devotees visited the temple of Girijatmaj Ganpati at Lenyadri (Taluka Junnar) to seek blessings. A large crowd of devotees gathered throughout the day, giving the entire परिसर a fair-like atmosphere. The idol of Lord Ganesh and the temple were beautifully decorated with flowers for the occasion.
The temple trust organized a “Shri Ganesh Mahayag” as part of the celebrations. Early in the morning at 5:30 AM, the temple chairman Adv. Sanjay Dhekane and trustee Sadashiv Tamhane performed the Abhishek and Maha Puja. Devotees then continued to visit for darshan.
Special floral decorations were arranged for the idol and temple premises. Offerings included bananas donated by Vikas Sitaram Tamhane from Golegaon and Sudhir Ramdas Gaykar from Brahmanwada (2 crates each), and mangoes donated by the Bhagat and Doke families from Junnar (1 crate).

Sanjay Dhekane, Vice Chairman Govind Meher, Secretary Shankar Tamhane, Treasurer Bhagwan Hande, and other trustees and staff, were present along with a large number of devotees and villagers. Devotees from nearby villages and temple staff contributed significantly to the success of the event.
