The darshan of Lord Ganesha on Sankashti Chaturthi at Shri Lenyadri on June 3, 2026

On the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi, a large crowd of devotees gathered for the darshan of Lord Ganesha at Shri Lenyadri.
On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, during Sankashti Chaturthi, thousands of devotees visited the ‘Shri Girijatmja’ Ganpati at the Ashtavinayak Tirtha Kshetra, Shri Lenyadri (Taluka Junnar).
Due to the auspicious month of ‘Masa’, the entire day saw a significant influx of devotees. The Shri Lenyadri premises took on a festival-like atmosphere.
On this occasion, the idol of Shri Girijatmja and the temple were beautifully decorated with flowers.

In the morning at 6:15 AM, the Shri Lenyadri Ganpati temple committee, led by President Adv. Sanjay Dhekne and Trustee Sadashiv Thamane, performed the Abhishek and Mahapuja of Lord Ganesha. Following this, devotees had the opportunity to have darshan.
The idol of ‘Shri Girijatmja’ Ganesh and the temple premises were decorated with attractive flowers for Sankashti Chaturthi.

For the Naivedya, Sudeep Sunil Kasabe and Kishore Shashikant Khare from Narayangaon offered 4 carats of bananas and 1 carat of mangoes, while Sachin Sadashiv Thamane from Gogegaon offered 1 carat of pears.
At 7:00 AM, 12:00 noon, and 7:00 PM, the grand Aarti was performed in the temple. Various religious rituals were conducted throughout the day by the temple trust.

Devotees were provided with various facilities through the temple trust to facilitate their darshan. The auspicious month of ‘Masa’ brought a large gathering of devotees and tourists throughout the day.
To ensure smooth darshan for devotees, crowd management was organized by the temple trust.

On this occasion, prominent figures including President Adv. Sanjay Dhekne, Vice President Govind Meher, Secretary Shankar Thamane, Treasurer Bhagan Hande, Trustees Machchindr Shete, Sadashiv Thamane, Kashinath Lokhande, Jaywant Doke, Jitendra Bidwai, Office Secretary Rojidas Bidwai, Manager Nilesh Sarjine, staff, villagers, and a large number of devotees were present.

In the evening, devotional singing by the Shri Muktaai Prasadik Bhajan Mandal from Shivachewadi took place.
During the moonrise, a grand Aarti of Lord Ganesha was performed. Afterwards, Mahaprasad was organized by the Vighnahar Group from Shiroli Khurd for the devotees.

Throughout the day, prominent personalities from various fields had the darshan of Lord Ganesha. Devotees from Pune, Ahmednagar, Mumbai, Thane, Nashik, and Junnar region also visited in large numbers to have darshan of the Lord, according to information provided by the temple president Adv. Sanjay Dhekne and Secretary Shankar Thamane.
